engine problems
ok. i have an 2004 mazda rx8, with new sparkplugs, ignition coils, sparkplug wires, engine mounts, the mods i have done are short ram intake(good sound), and a catback exhaust. the dealer said its carbon buildup.
he is could be right. Do try what I suggested I had the same problem last summer and then I started to use injector cleaner and it worked very well.. so give it a shot

#1 rule of rotary engine troubleshooting...compression test.
Also you can try to remove the throttle body, gently push the blade open and hold it, and clean the blade tips and throttle body of carbon/oil buildup, and it may help your idle a bit.
99% of the time difficulty starting and idling in a rotary is due to weak compression from a worn out engine.

I just think its his injectors, run some cleaner and rev it hard and it might go away.. thats the cheapest and easiest way, if that does not work clean the throttle and then go and see if it is your intake that is causing the problem
