Engine Problem

I just got back from a 10 day oversee trip. it was fine when i left it. The first thing i did was put in some more oil, but what i knoticed was that there were alot of foam. After i put in some oil i started the car and there is the check engine light. What do you guys think is the problem?

If your talking about a milky white substance on the dipstick, then this is what you want to read. Mazda will fix it, but supposedly it doesn't cause any problems. As far as the cel, go and get the code pulled free at autozone.

Do you think that is the cause of the enginee light or is something else wrong?

something else. go to autozone and have the code pulled as redpit mentioned. it will give you a better indicator of what is going on.

check here for CEL codes: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/rx-8-technical-info-cel-codes-pcm-pin-list-collision-guide-26291/

lol Mazurfer make that 5. Mike CEL light came on 2 weeks ago, stumble on startup on one of the rotors until 10 seconds.. then rpm's smooth out.

swapped out the plugs, and got a new battery... it still stumbles for a bit on initial start.. so i'm taking it in, something else is wrong. (Guessing one of the ignition coils).

Let the games begin!
