Engine Monitoring

Alright so since I don't have any sort of tuning soft/hardware (cobb mazda edit) I'm using my wifi obd2 reader and an app on my smartphone to keep track of my car. It will help me keep a better eye on it while I wait until I can get a cobb, most likely cobb. I'm also testing DashCommand for the iphone to determine how well it works, as well as the wifi adaptor.

This is where I actually need quite a bit of help from the community, I need to understand some things, like what different PIDs actual mean, and some car specs. First off for the specs, the app has me enter in the following specs to make sure that it gets as accurate reading as possible. Please provide feedback if anything needs to be corrected, I gathered bits and pieces from different websites so I want to make sure everything is correct.

Fuel tank: 15 US gal.
Brake specific fuel consumption: .60 lb/(hp*h) changed from .40 to .60 after reading MM thread about Rotary Math.
Volumetric efficiency: 94%
Final drive ratios: Axle ratio 4.444, 1st 3.76, 2.269, 1.645, 1.187, 1.000, 0.843
Curb Weight: 3201 lbs.
Drag coefficient: 0.31
Frontal area: 21.3ftsq.

Second part, actual lambda and command lambda. Actual lambda is what the wb O2 sensor is reading and command is what the ECU reading correct? Well anyway check out the video below for AFR and/or lambda. I don't think the obd reader is incorrect or the app because the rpm and speed also read correctly. Is this AFR correct? Seems awfully lean to me but who knows.

And lastly I want to try and calculate my AFR more closely. If anyone has any information or know what Lambda PID I should be using that would be much appreciated.

Well I changed something that should help my torque and HP to be closer to accurate.

According to MM in the following thread, rotaries have a bsfc of .60, so I will have that updated and we will see how much closer that gets us to a more accurate reading.

Just did another run and .60 might still be too high. Granted yes I have the 6 port but it's still reading HP as 250 on ocassion and sometimes up to 298, will try to see if .70 works better. As far as I know the only mod they previous owner made was the K&N Typhoon, haven't been able to find anything else. Will post a video layer of the graphs.

Alright well looks like my previous file got corrupted so I don't have a video to upload.

I'll be doing a test this weekend using DashCommand and OBD Doctor from the app store. I'll get a good writeup between the two, and see which one would be better. I haven't tested, and don't have time to test ALL the apps out there, nor the money to purchase the paid version of all, so these were chosen because of the popularity and reviews they have received.
