Easier than I expected

My first flood I thought this was supposed to be a big deal? I just got back from a week of vacation in Sarasota Florida, went to start my car and it just kept turning over it would kick every once in a while. It took a second for it to click in it was flooded. I pushed the gas pedal to the floor and continued to turn it over until it stopped firing, then stopped for 15seconds and tired again and 10seconds of it turning over it started to fire and kick within 25 seconds it was up and running and tons of smoke reved it up a bit took it for a drive once it was warmed up redlined it once or twice and all’s well.

You were lucky...the body shop flooed mine and it took almost an hour to get it going. Had to pull the plugs twice..and recharge the battery in between...

How long had it been sitting after the 25KM drive? What year? AT or MT?

Sorry to hear--I wouldn't have expected it to flood after that.

Did you have the new starter and battery recall/TSB done?

Good luck! A bad sales department doesn't necessarily mean a bad service department. Just make sure you go in there armed with information.

I had the same problem; go to the service department with recalls and TSB's in hand. Print them out here:
