so i need to take my rear license plate off but the two bolts are spinning through!

i dont want to take the whole bumper of that seems foolish. what could i do?

 

Not sure if this applies to the 8 but on my last car when the bolts would spin I had to reach under the bumper and up to the bolts and hold the nut while I unscrewed it. You can give that a shot.

i pushed them through the bumper (no didn't damage anything), and went to my local autoparts store, picked up a package of plate securing screws and plastic anchors. push the anchors into the existing holes in your bumpers, and screw your plate into the anchors with the supplied screws.

worked beautifully. the old fasteners i couldn't get off simply dropped to the ground and i tossed them.
