CA Driveway - Ride Height - Body Kit?

i was wondering if i will have any problems with the Mazdaspeed body kit with my driveway?

i just had it re-done a few days ago (dad/brother and me) and im not sure if i will "still" scrape.

before i would scrape if i have too much weight in the car (i.e. 4 people in the car) now i have no problem... im just wondering if it looks like there is much clearance?

also how much lower is the Mazdaspeed bodykit compared to stock? i do not have the appearance package.

also i guess this rules out lowering right?

It's gonna "lower" the car about 1-2 inches. If you're having problems while being stock, you're gonna bigger problems once you get a kit on there. And I noticed you're running stock springs, gonna be even worse if you get a new suspension. Sorry.

well, i used to scrape before i got the driveway done, so i usually went slow

but now (pictures shown) im not sure if it will clear.... which is why i am asing....
im sure that lowering springs are out of the question now though

i just want to be sure... im guessing i can clear the the front bumper by going at an agle, im just worried about the side skirts

avoid big drop lowering springs (i.e. s-tech's) and if you do get lowering springs try aiming for something stiff (no homo) - also making sure your passengers get out before going up wouldn't hurt either....

and finally...

learn how to properly pull off 'the ricer angle'

Only possible springs to use are Racing Beat.

Lower car by .8 inches max.

It's a bitch. Don't drop your car with that driveway. Just use the snake method up the driveway, you should be fine.

My drop is .8 and spring rate is relatively soft. My tires have a high sidewall (40) which close the wheel gap but leaves enough room for the wheels to tuck under full load. I have a lip kit and a semi steep driveway. I ALWAYS use the ricer angle to get up driveways and clear them fine. My only problem is my freakin' midpipe. I'm still getting used to how low it is.

do you have an alternate parking place?

If u have an alternate parking place it'd be best to use that but if you exit/enter at an angle I think you'd be fine, cant say the same if u lower it even more though.

hey man - i can measure my car tonight when i get home if i remember. i have tein s, ms kit front and sides, and a bit shorter sidewall i think (245/40 vs 225/40). but yeah anyway i'll try to measure tonight to get you a number, but like others say, kit AND springs and you'll be redoing that drive again

lame, i guess its just the kit for now, i just hate the wheelgap

i would consider my neighborhood to be a bad one if you have a nice car (recently had some neighbors breaking windows to steal stereos, including my brothers car, although his was a stock stereo, and a few slashed tires here and there) which is why my only alternate option is to park outside, which i would consider a NO-NO

ahh, c'mon Atilla, i know you have a video already made!

anyways, would it be difficult to pull off the "ricer angle" in reverse? would it make any difference?

i always go up my driveway in reverse because its hard to get out from the drivers side when i go in forward because of the brick wall
