Angry Don't cops have anything better to do

I think this cop looked for everything possible on my car to give me a ticket for...
So im driving home 5 under the speed limit and i get pulled over...long story short these are the tickets i get
-Car too low (Tein S Tech)
-Car too loud (I put catalytic converter back on 1 day before and it was really quiet)
-Tint to dark (Factory tint)
-No front license plate (In front window)
-Rear license plate obstruction (License plate frame from mazda)

Wow, that's ridiculous. Car was to low? How could he even tell? I didn' know 8's came from the factory with tinted windows.

8's don't come with factory tint. Did the dealership tint your windows?
what's the license plate law in TX? in CA, having it on your front dash means NOTHING, it must be affixed to the vehicle.

exhaust too loud? you could possibly fight that one if you get it inspected
Rear license plate obstruction? Take a picture, might be able to fight it.

How did you react to the officer? That sounds like a lot of tickets for a speed infraction.

He didn't have a 'speed infraction'. He said he was 5 under... Sounds like the cop was just angry as most of those don't make any sense. Fight em, that's nuts.

the 8 does come from the factory with very, very light tint- it's barely noticeable unless u compare it to another car with no tint.

Was it SAPD? The rear tint can be a s dark as you want in Texas I think. Too Low S techs are barely a drop. i have never had anyone who didn't own an RX8 notice i was dropped.

You can get a ticket for a car being too low? Geez, what a dick

Id check into your state laws/regulations on all of those and see what you can fight... ill bet you can get most of it thrown out

Good luck with everything

I think if you dispute them, the cop won't even show. He's just trying to get money out of you IMHO.

Take it to court. Look up the Statute's for the listed infractions and show the judge. Tell the judge it seems like the cop was harassing you. You weren't speeding. There was no probable cause to detain you and issue these tickets.
You were courteous and the cop was rude to you.
None of these tickets will stand up in court.

take them to court and fight them. the only pc that the cop had to stop you was the muffler if any so the judge will notice that the cop was just being an a-hole and will most likely make the cop look like an *** in court. btw cops dont make a single cent from a ticket, we do however make money for showing up in court.

Hence his avatar
That really is BS, maybe the cop was losing his/her job and need 5 infractions on someone to keep their job. Damn bastards in Texas.

it sucks, but keeping your license plate frame on the front is mandatory. it is the only one that really is valid. when i kept my license plate on my dash, or stuck to my windshield (top, passenger side) i had so many cops eyeball me it wasnt funny. so i figured i'd stop tempting fate and put the plate back on the front.

the excessive eyeballing stopped.

it looks hideous though. ugh. buggy bunny teeth.

how can they even say a car is too low... unless you can't get over a speed bump, it obviously isn't!

A lot of those tickets are non-moving violations. Go to court.
