I first noticed them when I examined the car b4 I finalized the deal, I thought o **** this cars been in an accident at the dealers, then he explained that they protect against rock chips. I checked the other side and it satisfied me, however I cannot see them in anyone else’s pics and they look like a deep scratch from far away. For those who do not know or have no idea what im talking about here are pics and they are located on the front of the rear wheels fender.

 

They are standard equip PoLak. Clear bra type material to protect against rock chips. Like the clear bras -- you can only see it up close.

 

I can't see your picture but I think from your description the answer is yes, we all have them. Extra protection in front of the rear wheels, under the doors and I think someone mentioned one other location. I haven't looked for it.
