I was looking at this car on ebay and was wondering if it was modded. I'm a noob to the 8 and would probably look right over obvious mods. I feel if I simply ask the dealer they wouldn't know either.

The only thing I was able to pick up on was that the shifter looked, pretty short.

looks stock, shifter and all.

The short throw shifters are similar height, the throws are what is shortened.

17k doesn't sound like a good deal though, but only because I've seen them sell for next to nothing.

 

yeah 17k is the buy it now price, i wouldn't pay that I may throw a bid out there. 15k maybe.

The only thing that looks funny is that shifter. It looks like they took it out and shortened it on a lathe. That shouldn't be a problem.

 

Do the seats look faded?

47k on a 05. Damn. I only have 21k on mine. Looks like a good car. I say 15-15.5k is reasonable given the market for it.

 

Looks good to me, If it is that young with that many miles they are probably highway miles too.

 

I wouldnt worry about the mileage.. I bought mine right around 47k , she now has over 111k and I have never had engine issues.
