Do you remember?

Do any of you remember the rotaries in the 1st and 2nd gen. RX-7's, especially the 2nd. gen? Do you remember when you first started the car, how the engine sounded? It sounded like a rush of air was filling the chambers. It made this kinda wailing sound, in the in the case of the 2nd. gen. normally asp. it continued sometimes as you drove. My question is what caused that? I didn't notice it in the 3rd. gen because I only drove ONE. Do you think that the reneisis will have this same characteristic?

My car doesn't do that... The only wailing is from the turbo. :D
