Do you let your s.o. drive your Rx8?
and if so, what do they think?
My wife drives my RX8 when I need her car to transport larger items. She says it's too low, has no power, the engine is too quiet so she has to look @ the tach to know when to shift.
What does she like about it? Heated seats in winter, sunroof in summer, tach in the center. She gets compliments constantly when she drives it. I'm not sure if it's the car, or her beautiful self that's the cause of them.
For reference, her car is a mazdaspeed3 hatch.

Not the 8. She can drive my truck all she wants. She cant drive a stick and ill be damned if I'm gonna teach her on the 8. She seems fine with her little Nissan Versa.

Of course! She pretty much sorta but not really taught me to drive stick on a car. I drove her ZX2 for about 3 years, so I figure my RX-8 is in good hands when she drives it.
She likes the way it feels. I'm pretty sure she likes it's for the reasons I like it. She said it feels a lot like her old car... Haha

NO! I tell everyone that it's limited to one driver. She can't drive a stick very well. I'm trying to teach her, but not in the 8. She can tear up the clutch in my ranger.

Yes she does but not alot. My first 8 was not 24 hrs old when she jumped in the drivers seat and said teach me to drive a manual trans car.
That as they say is that and now if ever need be, she can drive my car.
Guys I know it is a bitch having your baby being driven by someone else but I feel the possible need to get to a hospital or safety is more important so she knows how to drive it.

My wife does not my R3. She was a little pissed off when i bought the car in manual. I told her the R3 only came in manual. I tried teaching her how to drive a stick with several rx7's i've owned. It didn't work out to well. She'll be alright driving our Toyota UrbanRunner. She would drive the Mazda if it was an automatic, but i wasn't going to buy an automatic. She is a very understanding wife.

I let my gf drive it. She has a cavalier with a manual trans so she's pretty good with the gears. She likes the 8 better than her car. My bigger problem is that now one of my best friends wants me to teach him to drive a stick with the 8. I dunno how to say no to him.

My wife drives it on occasion but prefers her daily driver : ) I'd trust her over most anyone I know with driving considering she has her own 6 speed car so tons of practice. She misses all the extra torque from her turbo 4 cylinder lol.

I let her drive it when she needs to, I taught her how to drive a stick in my 8 also. Only stalled it twice then she got it. I was very impressed, but i let her use it when i need her vehicle for moving things also. BTW she loves everything about it
