Actually I dried off the car without any rubbing. I took the chamois cloth and dropped it on the water spots...lifted it up and did it to other areas...squeezed out the water from the chamois and repeated the process. I only had to drop the chamois one time on any one area. Hopefully this was not as severe as if I had actually been rubbing on the finish. In the future I'll hose her off first and make sure she's clean before I proceed to dry. Thanks!

This was the good part about owning gray or silver. You didn't have to worry about rock chips and dings showing as much, and with the exception of the rims, the car still looked pretty good/clean even without being washed for over two weeks. Completely different story though for colors like yellow, white, black, blue, etc.

Like they said, after a year or so your paranoia wears off.

Back on the day when fighter jets were glossy paint they used to get waxed to minimixe drag. Some of them still do to this day.

Yes My WHITE 8 Gets washed about 2-3 times a week. there is a lot mud in my area and I don't like to have the only brown 8 in the planet. But my washes are done with high preassure washer and ut using Mr. Clean soap so it takes me about 5 min to do it. Once a month she (The Bitch is her name) gets a full detail. It is nice to ahve 11k miles and still smells like new.

I've had mine of about 2 years, I still park her where I can see her. Her name is Sybil.

She's has NEVER parked in a Mall or Wal Mart parking lot and I wash her once a week.

For those who think this is excessive will never have to ride in her or make any car payments for me.

Thanks and have a great day!!
