Do I have to change catback when install a bhr midpipe?

Is it necessary to install a AEM catback if I want to upgrade to bhr midpipe? Or headers? Or should I leave them untouched? What are the benefits to upgrade headers and catback together with bhr midpipe?

No but most people do because you are already under the car. You know, 2 birds 1 stone type deal.

AEM doesn't make a catback anyway

1. there is no AEM catback

If you are installing a BHR midpipe, you can use any catback you want (even stock) but if you have the $$, I'd recommend upgrading for looks / sound.

If you get the BHR header (whenever that comes out), you will not be able to use an aftermarket midpipe as it will not fit. the BHR header should come with a compatible midpipe so keep that mind before buying something now.

But will I be able to shoot flames if I install the bhr with resonator and keep rest of the catback original on(includes muffler)?

You won't pass emissions testing without a cat. Not even if you bribe the inspector with a scorched and carbonized turkey leg.
