Why are you ashamed of people knowing you have an automatic transmission?

Unless you're still in high school I guess...

 

I said that I want some leather look such as GTI's DSG shift **** and G37's shift ****. I just want to cover the cheap plastic cover. I was going to buy the carbon fiber cover, but it is like $80. I don't think it is worth 80 so I was looking for alternative way and I thought manual shift boot is a good idea

 

I did this upgrade earlier today, and IMHO i think the shift boot just makes the interior look sportier, and I like it. Feedback welcome!

 

I did this to mine and looks so much better than having that plastic around the shifter.

You guys who have done this, what happens when you give your car to the valet?

 

They flood the heck out of it ;-) Side note, I would never allow valet to park and retrieve a RX8.

 

If you don't mind, could you let us know where you got this and how much you paid?

I'm also interested. I agree, it definitely improves the look on the inside of the car. I never would have thought of doing this.
