Dilemna When 4 Year B2B Warranty Is Up
My 8 is the only vehicle I've ever owned that I've not grown sick of, and that I've actually grown to love more with each passing year (now on year 3). That is very rare for me, as I usually get bored or sick of a car after a couple years.
I know it sounds like I'm a fan boy big time, but I really am trying to be objective, and I've owned or leased approximately 9 cars before my 8.
I've been pondering what to do by the end of October, 2009, when the B2B warranty on my 8 is up.
I've had no problems with my 8 except for a gas cap CEL, which was resolved by disconnecting the battery terminal.
There are no rattles or squeaks in my 8, even after three winters, and over the harshest roads.
I love the motor more and more. It's hard to explain how smooth and linear it is to people not familiar with rotary motors.
I love the steering - it's fantastic.
Even the ride quality is excellent for a sports car.
It's a year away, and I'm wondering if I got 'one of the good ones' with my car given the lack of any problems, and whether that means I should just keep it and drive on.

wow,
you are back with vengeance..
but really the 3/36 bumper to bumper. is just blah. the 5 / 60 is what covers your ***.. that would be the power train.
i am 436 miles from 100k miles. i still does not suck.. but you have to read and learn.. and adapt.

I'm never selling my 8.
Even once my first renesis blows, I'll get another.
I'm going FI next year even though I have 3 years left on my warranty.
If I blow more than two reneises' then I'm going to a V8.
Man, If I were you I'd keep it, but I'm psycho insane.

But yeah, same here, I don't think I will sell the car. The only way I will lose her is if one of us dies.
Step 2: LS1 swapped RX8 (or if you insist, turbo
lol) Step 3: ????
Step 4: Profit!
Mine expired, Im just under 72,000 miles on mine, love it!!
I plan on keeping mine forever or at least for a very long time. I still ahve a couple years of payments anyways so Im just modding and enjoying
