If you are dumping the clutch you are gonna spin the tires. Also how new are the tires? I just put on snow tires and was spinning pretty bad for the first 100 miles or so. Only have 200 on them now and break-in still isn't complete yet. Of course it's also been warm lately so I don't want to burn up the softer compound.
