Decision Time

Tomorrow after school I have my appointment to buy my RX-8. I'm am still so undecided. I'm not a kid. I'm 48 and went back to school in order to become a pharmacist. My 49th birthday is December 1st and I'm only 49 once. So, this is my present to myself. It will also look good when I am on clinical rotations next year.

I love the red/black interior the best, but I'd still be happy with the cloth. I wasn't too particular about which color, but the Velocity Red makes my heart do flip-flops. I also like the looks of the car with the spoiler. My main requirement is to have Sirius radio installed aferwards. I installed Sirius in my current car and I really can't live without it. The dealer is charging $575 to install it. So, I have to factor that in.

Help me decide.

#1 - Red GT with red/black. There are 3 in stock with various options. All have the appearance package & spoiler.
#2 - White GT with red/black. It already has Sirius installed and dark window film w/lifetime warranty. It has a CD-Changer, but no spoiler or appearance package. That makes it about $1,000 less than the red car. It will be $1,700 less when I factor in adding Sirius and window tint to the red.
#3 - Blue Touring with appearance, spoiler, rotary accents, alarm upgrade & cargo net. This one is $1,300 less than the white car. But, after adding Sirius & tint, it is only $600 less.

Yep, when you're already spending the bucks, might as well get exactly what you want. That's what my wife and I did -- we were dead-set on a Brilliant Black AT w/ sport package and cloth interior... we could've gotten a 'deal' on a Winning Blue w/ leather on the lot, but we held out for our first choice, and we're so happy we did.

So, #1 all the way!

#1, I have a velocity red RX8. I went with the cloth seats because I liked the fit of cloth better than the leather. I was going to get the Ti Gray but I fell for the red.

Also, We do share the same birthday.

Wow, of your three choices, two of them are the *only* two colors that I don't care for. So by default, I (sadly) have to join the throng and say go with the red.

It's a sports car. It has to be red.
