Debadging my car

So last night I wanted to take of the mazda badge on my car and only leave the mazda logo, and as i was taking off the badge i noticed that the mazda badge is clipped on to the trunk, so if i take it off I would have 2 holes in my trunk. I've seen lots of mazdas without it, so I guess I'll just wait it out...

pay no attention to anthony.

Yup, many people here do it but you have to get the trunk holes filled and painted.

My bodyshop guy said $200 to fill, paint, and clearcoat all the holes.

I was thinking about doing the front and the everything off the rear, but after seeing pictures of others it looks off. I might leave the M and get it painted gunmetal gray or something.

i dont even think 200$ is even worth debadging....its so expensive for something so small and insignificant, or im just cheap and frugal... :S

but i cant believe that it costed that Ti.Gray $500 to debadge and paint..... geeez~ but i must say it looks clean!

The debadged look is crazy clean, but you can do so much more with that kind of buck. That's crazy expensive. You can look into just colormatching the existing emblems if you don't want them on there. I may consider at least trying that before dropping that kind of coin. It does look really sick, though.

That's a neat idea. I wonder about black on WB? Or perhaps white or gold? distasteful to some but it could look great...

For 200 bucks, my next mod would be a short shifter instead of debadging.

BTW, I did the same thing as the OP before I was even a member here. I went out and started with the RX8 logo, got it off, then was like WTF with the other 2. So now my car has RX8 debadged and everything else is still there

I'm going to debadge mine when I have the wing removed. But there are a few things I'm doing first.
I personally think the trunk lids are too small to have all those badges.

that looks pretty damn clean. My car is red and i bought it with black badges but i personally didn't like how it looked with black so bought the regular chrome ones.
