I just did mine over the weekend. I used dental floss to get them off (which sucked), sanded them down, used primer, gave 3 coats of black, 2 coats of clear, then waxed them to a nice shine. Turned out good.

Ill try tonight, there was one casualty though, the rear flying M was broken on accident during removal, so I have a new one on order Im waiting for, then I have to paint that one.

Thanks . If I get the Black R3 I am going to do them In RED Or Just Remove ALL the Emblems completely from the car But the front hood presents a problem ,The front emblem on the hood has a Indent shape for the Emblem .It might look crappy then ,Ideas?

 

dont debadge it, I think red may be tacky on the R3.
