Dealer Sticker

Hello everyone, I just joined after owning my black rx 8 for less than 1 week. It's been a fun ride so far. The only thing I don't like about it is the ugly dealer sticker on the rear bumper. Any ideas on how to get it off. Thanks

There is another post about this somewhere. For mine, I just went out back and just scratched it off. It took a while, about 45 minutes, because Huntsville, Alabama was spelled out with different stickers. After it I took Oops! to it and the rest just rubbed right off. You could see the outline of it for a bit but after a little Zaino on it there was evidence.

I would take it back to the dealer and have them take it off. Dumb $hit dealers advertising on your car I would have gone crazy if they tried that on me.

Take a hairdryer and warm it up before trying to remove it, it softens the adhesive. Good luck.

WD-40 is good for removing adhesives. It shouldn't hurt the paint, but try it somewhere first anyway. Like inside the trunk

Agree. and do not use any sharp object to get it off. Use your finger nail when soften up the adhesives.

After removing it you use Tar and spot remover on the remaining glue and it will comes off AOK!

Polish it back afterwards. Good luck.

I've had good luck with "Goo Gone." I used it to clean off all the adhesive under the Nissan emblem on the back of my last car. BTW, to get the emblem off the car without thrashing the paint, I used a piece of fishing line to gently saw the adhesive between the emblem and the paint. Worked great.

Or if you are not a fisherman, you can use dental floss.

I tell the dealer when I am buying the car that I will not accept it if it has a dealer's sticker on it. They will take it off real fast once you tell them that.
