Dash lights

ok im not a car expert but my dash lights were white when i turn on night time lights, and im not sure what i did but now when i turn on my night time lights the dash lights are red....does anyone know how this happened? and if this is changeable

Sorry for n00b question, probly wrong section of post too

Any help would be appreciated

You turned on the dimmer switch. It's the thumbwheel next to the DSC switch.

Old thread, I know. But I didn’t want to create a new one.
Anyways, when I roll the dimmer switch I only get the white lights on the dash. Never the red option.
Any ideas?

Interesting problem.
There are a couple of transistors in that control, it may be funked.
Do you have the electrical diagrams?

Have you tried turning your headlights on?
sorry, i have to ask...

i cant say ive ever seen the dimmer go bad, but if the function isnt working with the headlights on then its probably the dimmer

I do not have the electrical diagrams for the car.
And yea, I’ve tried headlights on and off. The dim function works correctly when I roll the ****. I’m very familiar with RX8’s. When the “click” comes from the **** it turns white...right? I hear the click, but it’s always white lighting on the dash.
