So, I've been looking at picking up a pair of custom rims once I get my 8, and I found out a lot of the better off companies that do aftermarket rims have really nifty interactive sites to customize the ones you want. So I figured why not start a thread for it!!!!

P.S. Don't try to view with the rx-8 as they don't show up. Yes most of the rims are 20+'s but in practicality if you are spending this much on rims you'll be able to get them in 18-19

Although there are many pretty(and expensive) looking rims at those sites, I'm having trouble finding an ideal set of aftermarket rims for my 8. I feel that not many colours and styles go well with the sunlight silver rx8 other than the stock ones. Just about any rim I've tried to photoshop over my 8 in my head or actually do it on my comp turns out bad... The lines of the rx8 are quite complex when it comes to finding a rim style to go well with it... At least, for my taste....

I've seen several rx8s with aftermarket rims that I think don't go well, but as long as their owner is happy, that is all that matters. I tend to favor rims with 5 outgoing rays, similar to Savini Black di Forza BM8...

I guess that I'm looking for something similar to how the stock rims look. I'm starting to think that I won't be able to find anything that goes perfectly well with my 8 other than the stock rims... I think if I had a black or red 8, it would be a bit easier to find nice rims.

Different tastes for a different place or.... different spokes for different folks . If you don't like em then go set up your own, lets see what tickles your fancy. This isn't a "the best rims ever" thread, it's the "rims you like" thread. Every one is entitled to their opinion, and don't forget some of these rims may actually be lighter than stock one :P

I like em, they're pretty flashy. My plan is actually in the opposite direction though: I need to get some beater rims from craigslist so that I can be a hooligan on the weekends without messing up my nice wheels. Let us know when you pick up your lovely new lady this weekend!
