^ Yes the Truck driver missed the earlier turn off so he could take his right handed turn legaly. Where the truck driver took his turn it was illegal, being in the trucks blind spot is overall a mute point to the accident since the truck driver shouldnt of been attempting this turn at the time. Overall I'm just happy this guy isnt severly hurt as I stated in one of my orginal post's.. those semi's dont like to be moved by our lil cars.

Every driver should try riding a motorcycle or bicycle, not pleasure riding, but commuting, for a year, and learn to get the feeling that they are vulnerable on the road. It'll make wiser drivers.

The law doesn't favor the maimed or the dead.

Anticipate stupidity on the road; laws can't save you from other people's stupidity.

Not me. Some guy sent me a PM hes selling his Turboed winning blue 8 for $50K! I was looking at his list of mods and replyed; "How much do you think you put into your car?" He said $20K. OK not even I could fig out how he got this amount. I mean I did not even pay full price for my 8. Maybe he got a bad deal hooked up the car and wants more back for what he put into it.
But I see your point.
I would say if its just a stock body with Turbo. Then yeah you can mod the rest to your own image.

that guy obviously thinks he deserves what he put into the car but taken the fact the added stress put onto the engine by adding a turbo along with the no warranty and the miles he has put on the car he is overcharging about 30k if anyone pays that much for it i pity them unless hes putting about 500whp down

No airbags.

Also, I think it looks a lot worse than it was. If you look at the overall frame, the only reason everything looks so bad was the impact was high up on the car (right on the roof rail), where there is relatively little structure. just bending that roof rail a little will throw the doors out of whack, and shatter the windows. Then the front fender damage happened almost as an afterthought when the fender hit the U shaped tire rack that hangs down under the side of the trailer.

I didn't pee or crap myself, but I did bleed a little. I've got a half dozen blood spots on my jeans, and a few little (healing nicely) cuts on my hands and legs from the glass. The drivers side window literally exploded in my face. Fortunately I always wear my wraparound sun glasses when driving so I did not get any in my eyes.

Also, I just found out from the shop that the Adjuster decided that it is not totalled. She'll live to see another day! Not sure exactly how happy I am about that, except that at least they're not screwing me on the branded title in paying out for a total. I'm going to ask tomorrow about whether or not I can sue for diminished value from the other company since the accident should be considered the other driver's fault.

Get them to total the car! When no one is looking, take a hatchet and **** the frame up under the car. :-)

At least..thats MY plan if I ever have a resale-shattering collision. That, and roll out of the car, and sue, sue, sue.

Ahhh that is hard to look at.

Good to hear you didn't get hurt bad.

Reinforces that we have a safe car.

This is another heart aching pic:

So if all the cars were silver on the track would it be a demolition derby?

The one even tried to mask the silver with all the red over the top...

If non the of the airbags went off that saves but that looks like considerable body damage.

2 doors, more than likely a new speaker for the door, front fender, a roof, new windshield, side glass, front headlight, work straightening out the rear driver's side sail and paint.

Body parts are not that bad to replace.

Well I got the estimate: 9861.00 and thats allowing for two used doors to replace the damaged ones. My body shop is trying to get them to rewrite it for new doors because he doesn't think they'll get decent used ones. Also, my body guy says he'll work with me on getting a custom paint job out of this: here's an Idea I'm working on:

The Jeep Liberty is not a POS.

It's reliable, stout, solid, actually has a comfortable ride, the A/C will freeze you out, and gets better mpg the what many 8 owners get.

I miss my Liberty.

Hah. I got 14mpg compared to my recent average of 18mpg in the 8, the thing steered like a boat and had severe steering drift (you could turn the wheel about 1/2 an inch either way before it grabbed, and when it did, it was eratic) and it bounced to high heaven whenever you hit a bump.
