In a couple of days - I'll have owned my 8 for 5 years.

And I am still not bored with it. I still take pictures of it occasionally and I smile at the stares I still get from people walking in the streets. I haven't put many miles on her - only 23k on the odometer, but it's been pretty reliable. Only thing really wrong with it is that I snapped the parking cable a few weeks ago. I don't really miss it. I should have known better than to mess with it in cold weather.

Anyone long-term owners still in love with their car? I still smile when I have the revs up high.

I can't believe I almost sold it a few weeks ago. I would have had super regrets. Here's a pic of her just this morning at work. Dirty as sh*t, but still looking fantastic after all these years.

I've owned mine for 8 years next month. Sad that I'm going through the whole divorce thing and I gotta sell it.

Well, got mine new end of 2006. It's pretty crazy. 60k miles and haven't had any big issues.

That was my initial reasoning for selling my 8 also. Except it was a normal breakup with someone who didn't really give a **** about me.

I had planned to replace it with a CLA45 or IS350 F-Sport, but I realized recently, cars don't really help you pick up women...lol.

They can hurt a relationship though - the ex hated my car, it made her physically ill (gear changes and stiff suspension) and it wasn't practical at all.

Whatever - lol. I'll just have to find someone who can appreciate a completely impractical car.

Me, too! 5-years on March 16th. Yes, I still love my RX-8. Can't wait for the weather to warm up so I can drive it again.

Those type of women, you do not want. Let the car drain your account not the combination of the 2.

Only been a year with my car, but 55,000 miles now and almost 30,000 rev happy miles because the first owner babied it too much. I would never let a girl become the sole reason to sell my car, Lol.

I got my '08 Grand Touring Edition last spring.. I smile every time I walk away from her in the parking lot where I work. Everyone tells me how gorgeous she is. What a fun car!
And only 36K on the meter! Waitin' for the snow & ice to leave!

PICs here

I got my new 08 sport (basic), I think in June. I tested three, the other two were touring and the sport just felt faster. I didn't really want the traction control. The sunroof in the touring versions was pretty close to the top of my head (tall).

I now have about 32K on it and it still runs like stink. I have premixed since it had about 600 miles on it. I just replace the original tires end of last year. They were getting pretty squirrelly.

Here is a pic of it shortly after I got it and it still looks pristine. The tall grass is now gone and a driveway to the garage I had built took it's place.

Not getting married again. My GF likes the looks of my car better than her newer Audi TT. She is a car fan and used to drive a muscle car.

I have had people tell me the RX8 is a girls car instead of something that guys like so I ask them if they would rather attract men or women?
