This is not Australia so I'm not sure if your hinting that he could get in trouble for pulling me over for no reason... Cops do that here...

Did you want to be handcuffed?
Seriously, as soon as you said 'cop friend' you were free to go...
You lovely ladies get off so easy.
I got pulled over once for being in a nice shiny new car and got a ticket. I wasn't doing anything wrong (to get his attention) but got a ticket anyway because I was one day late on my annual license sticker renewal....
It's just not fair..

Darkbrew...just jks about the cuffs...

Yeah I guess I was lucky. But for some reason I think he was just checking me out because he thought I was avoiding him. He was on his way back to the station. I know he saw me on my street too...like he was a good 5 blks or so behind me!! That's what you get for living in the country...only me and him on the road...

In Australia they jump pretty quick on any law enforcement officer doing anything considered inappropriate.

Having said that our laws are pretty similar with regards to the intercept of motor vehicles....anyone can be pulled up anytime for a vehicle/licence check.

I'm not sure of his motives of pulling you over...but one thing I do know here is that most cops over here are facintated by the RX8.

Yeah whipping Brettus is more fun. Don't tell our Canadian counterparts they may think I'm insane...

I got pulled over once for my sticker which was expired for llike 2 months or so and I got a warning... happened like 2x on the same ticket a few days apart ...

I think cops in the country are bord out of their minds so they have to spice things up a bit. When I small talked with him I think he was surprised at my responses so he didn't want to take the heat and just wanted me to go on my way.

Very friendly btw...

oh, cops profile all right, when i was a youngin and got a free car (1971 PLYMOUTH GRAND FURY, lol the thing was a boat) I got like 10 tickets, and not a one of them were "deserved tickets"

If I went through all the tickets I ever got, you would be amazed at what the cops DIDNT let me get off with ........... we are talking ultimate stupid tickets

Sounds like a decent cop aside from pulling you over for no good reason. I think it's great that you were able to joke a little with him about your car. I bet he appreciated that and perhaps will be an ally on your side if he ever has to pull you over for real.

lol what was the stupidest ticket i ever got???

Let's see

After that same car broke down, I went to go get it, and because i couldn't PUSH IT enough off the road I got a parking on pavement ticket for that, I got a driving after 9, driving without inspection, Driving 50 in a 35, and those are all SOMEWHAT normal tickets.

The weird ones.

How about taking a right on a red, I was at a spot where i have seen literally thousands of people do the same thing I did, I didn't even know it was illegal, I was taking a right on red, and there was the a car in front of me, so i took a right. The cop .... coming from the way i JUST turned, did a U-turn in the middle of a busy 4 way to pull me over, but remember that the car is a 72 grand fury? yeah well since he had no more room on the side of the road he parked RIGHT on my *** like an inch or 2 at most, so when I put the car into drive it kinda "jerked back" and hit the cop and I got an unsafe backing for hitting his car.

Oh lets also not forget going through a road block and I my car had one of those automatic seat belts that comes over your shoulder, so i was sitting there, nothing wrong that I know of, pull up and the cops like "why isn't your lap belt on, and I was like "I didn't know i needed that part, and I had thought i had it on" now its quite obvious I didn't know not having that was against the law, but no he gives me a ticket anyway.

So lets see
Car broke down, Parking on Pavement
Took a right on red where TONS of people do it daily, that got me unsafe backing, and unsafe passing
No "lap belt" but the shoulder belt
Driving after 9, when it was 9:30
50 in a 35 (which i guess is normal)

I know I'm forgetting some too, just had a lot of stupid things, I got another No inspection a month ago because I was driving my moms car (before I had the mazda) and didn't know the inspection was up, made me late for class.

I would pay any speed tickets i had, but the other stuff is do dumb, they could've warned me on all of those, and Im not mean to cops at all, I'm really respectful and I'm not scared of them at all
