Thumbs up Cool Floor Mats

INTENTIONAL OR NOT, WALMART CARRIES HEAVY DUTY RUBBER ALL WEATHER FLOOR MATS THAT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE CUSTOMED DESIGNED FOR THE RX-8...NOT ONLY DOES THE LOGO ON THE MATS DEPICT AN "RX", BUT THE COLOR COMBINATIONS ARE PERFECT. I BOUGHT A RED/BLACK SET FOR MY RED/BLACK INTERIOR: MAZDA DESIGNERS COULDN'T HAVE GOTTEN A BETTER MATCH! AND THE PRICE: HOLD ON TO YOUR COLLECTIVE HATS:$19.95!!! BUY 2: ONE SET FOR BAD WEATHER; THE OTHER FOR 'SHOW'. CHECK 'EM OUT IF YOU ARE AT ALL SKEPTICAL.

My sister actually bought me a set, but when I tried to stick them in my 8, I notice that they are just too big. As we all know, the floor area for both the driver and passenger (especially the passenger) is super narrow. It didn't look good when I put it in, but I must agree, they are a pretty nice match for those with the black and red leather combo. It even has a big 8 right in the middle of the mat.

I got the mazda ones off ebay for only $25 new...they are beautiful...the rotary symbol is repeated across the entire floor mat, instead of circles...plus it says rx8 and they are extremely well made...seriously I've not seen a floor mat made this well ever

I'll take a pic for you and post it soon

well sooner then I thought

here is a layout of all four...I have put an arrow on the hole that fits perfectly in the stock pin to keep the mat in place when you are moving it due to shifting

in the next picture of the drivers matt up close, you can see clearly the nice RX-8 logo and rotary theme...plus there is a heal plate!!!! which curves upward slightly to match the curvature of the floor

seriously...buy these...no cutting, no modifying to get them to fit...they are identical to the stock ones except all weather (actually they look cooler then the stock ones)

As of now, year long I use those deep pleated grey all weather mats only on the driver's side. When I traded in my '01 corolla (which I used the same mat) for--- the RX-8 saleperson asked me if they were new mats. I have to ask myself as I write this...My foot never touch the original mat in the corolla....what's wrong with this picture? Why even have the mat in the first place? Sort of like my neighbor who drove his vette around with new car dealer paper mats for FOUR years. He had a 200 ct set in his garage.

No one gets into any of my vehicles without the traditional tap on the curb.

I bought OEM Mazda RX-8 all weather mats from ebay for $20. It was around $26 including shipping. They were actually OEM even though I had my doubts when bidding. I think the mats run $120ish if you bought from your dealership.

Here's the old link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=7926642687

He had several for sale at the time, try contacting him if he doesn't have any listed.

Getting back to the original topic, I'd still like to see a pic of these Walmart mats. Thx.
