Cool early RX-8 swag found

Hey guys,

While I don't own my RX-8 anymore, and I have been without it longer than I owned it I still love that car,and will get anotehr someday. Today while rummaging through things in the basement I came across something that is pretty cool. If I remember right I got it either in the mail,or at the North American Auto Show at the Javits Centre in NYC in 2000/2001ish when the RX-8 was still a concept car. Come to think about it I ust have got it in the mail because this swag says 2003 RX-8,so it couldn't have been the car show.

Whatever here are a few pics of this cool mini-CDROM that is cut to look like a rotor. I think it has a bunch of pics of the car,and specs, but I don't dare stick in my iMac because I sure would hate to get it stuck. I know I viewed it on my PC many years ago when I got it. Tell me what you think.

OMG I want that!!!!

Just tried eBay and no joy, if anyone has one for sale, PM me.

EDIT: FYI, I was Googling "Magic RX-8 Ball" and the very first link tried to install a trojan horse, so if you try the same watch out. Look at the URL, this one was 75.drgm.az.pl/ .

Hey Icemark, do you mind posting a picture of your magic RX-8 ball? I doubt I'll be able to find one for sale, but I'd like to at least see what it looks like.

Yeah, I have the CD in a binder along with every piece of RX 8 literature, advertising swag, delivery paperwork, articles and research involving the car since before I pre-ordered it in May of 2003. Christ I'm a total geek ... but I don't have the 8 ball. That was car writer swag from a car show. Wish I had one though.

"swag" is usually free, promotional items given out by a company, like t-shirts, CDs, etc.

Speaking of RX-8 swag, hopefully my copy of Yamaguchi's RX-8 book will show up soon, although I had to pay for it...
