Their appears to be two emails different emails that have been sent so far from Mazda (or Mindarrow). One just has links to download the screensavers the other has links to what will happen next.

 

you forgot the neither option, some of us are stilll waiting for mazda and our dealer*cough cough* to figure out why we aren't getting them

and if mazda is watching: my name is charlie. ask william about my order and questions he has been trying to help for a couple of weeks to no avail.

 

I got the one saying what would happen next, but I got it on the 12th....

For me its a red GT with Charp. leather and Nav

What did you find on the link to Mindarrows sight? I tried the link from someone else post but it failed. Did it provide any useful information?

I ordered Feb 1st, got into a bit of a mess trying to explain to my dealer HOW to get the email in the system, and got a call February 7th from him saying he had heard from mazda and he managed to get it into the system correctly. Still haven't heard anything else, email or otherwise. I'm at the point where as long as the car is really ordered (which they are swearing up and down it is) I don't care about the emails, as long as my car gets here.

 

Uhmmm...... the email you get says to "Click below to find out more about your order and what to expect next." AND then the link goes to a page that says:

"Good news!

Your local Mazda dealer has submitted your request to Mazda for your 2004 Mazda RX-8—the sports car bred from bloodlines of the legendary RX-7. The next step is for the factory in Japan to process and confirm your order. This normally takes place within 45 days of your production month. We will send you a notification email once this process is complete.

In the meantime, if you haven't already done so please visit the web site where you can download Mazda RX-8 wallpapers and screensavers!

So in closing this poll is half way useless because if you got the email is is both the "what will happen next" and the "screensaver" one. Confusion is running rampant. Now I'm not speaking for the ones that have yet to receive their email.

 

Thanks for clearing that up for me. Its strange that some got an email with the information directly and some got a link to the exact same info. Do you receive HTML emails or just text. The Email for just the screen saver was HTML with a red RX-8 shown. Just wondering.

I guess I was getting worried for no good reason.
