Titanium Gray is your best bet. You can even get away with 2 weeks of no washing and most won't even be able to tell it's dirty (except for the rims). I actually went a whole month w/o washing it at one point and it still wasn't that bad. I can't imagine how dirty the other colors would look after a month of no soap and water. The difference between the Titanium Gray being washed and dirty is that it's very reflective when its sparkling clean. Otherwise its just...well...gray.

yeah white and black should take scratches(but not rubs against painted cement or other cars) as that will show up really easily

Silver's probably not too bad for the compromise you're asking for. However, based on the moans of the people on this forum, silver seems to be the color that attracts accidents...

Definitely white. My last car was white and it got washed every 6 months. The car would actually seem to change color when washed but never really looked dirty. And if you are really lazy you can wash the wheels and the whole car seems cleaner (not that I was ever that lazy).

My RX-8 is Nordic Green. It needs washing twice a week and every little scratch is showing. But I still like the color. When it is clean and in the sun it looks great.

Titanium Grey rules! Actually, Jerky is right about it not showing the dirt. And when clean and waxed, it's gorgeous. It's an understated elegance in the wake of those screamin' "look at me" red machines, I tell ya!

I was always told that white paint oxidizes eventually which is why older white cars look like they have been painted in matt white. they then require a lot of washing etc to make them look clean.

I was also told this happens to cars that are red but takes years and years. Not sure how true this all is but I have seen it a few times.

I've got winning blue, wash it every week. There always seems to be a build up of dirt on the top of the back bumper, the rest isn't that bad.

Titanium Gray or Silver is the best for naturalizing a dirty car. I wouldn't even worry about the keying. Your chances of getting keyed are not really that great unless your obnoxious with your parking and in general just **** people off.

White, black, green, blue and red show dirt quicker because of the contrast in color of dirt and paint. Most dirt is a medium to light tone that is why the two neutral colors show the least. I am partial to Silver because I own one and have been very pleased with its ability to hide dust. If you are like most of us, you will be washing once a week anyway. I would not worry about the dirt too much and just get the color that makes you happy every time you look at it.

I assumed you are asking because you are in the market to purchase.

Black will show the scratches more than White. Just think how many swirl marks you have seen on a black car, I don't think you have ever noticed them on a white car.

I would agree that the silver and the titanium probably shows the least and my guess is that the silver shows less than titanium. If you know you won't clean your car often and that it will bother you then don't get black. I think most people would agree that black is a great color especially with black/red seats, but many of us shy away from it because of the up keep. I had a black 944 with gold rims and it was beautiful but it was a pain in the rear to keep clean. My silver cars took the least amount of work. My last car was white and even though it stayed cleaner looking than black it still looked dirty sooner than my silver cars.

I love my silver RX8 but nothing shines like a black car after its been polished but you have to work at it to keep it that why.

The truth is I agree with SilverEight, get the color that will makes you happy. No matter what color RX8 you decide on (contray to what rotten42 believes :D ) they all drive the same and the way this car drives is its true beauty.

The overall best color is Black Cherry Mica. The paint is just so neat looking; unlike any of the others. That fact is worth any extra washing due to the dark color.

White probably looks best against scratches and being dirty. Black is definitely the worst, duh.

Don't agree. White would be the first to show dirt.

to tell u the truth silver is not my color i love it on the car but im really looking for black or white. dirt is not a big concern to me and the thing that would probably sway me from between black or white is how scratches show up and someone said the longitivity of the paint.
