changing wheels!
hi all you 8 lovers, just a quick question , iv noticed alot owners change the wheels on there cars, which i must say when iv been looking at the photos on this site iv been more than impressed with the changes the owners have made, but i wounderd when changing wheels for another make of wheel and maybe a lighter weight of wheel has anybody had a problems!!.
No problems here, as long as you know the bolt pattern and have centering rings for some aftermarket wheels. If you use a site like tirerack, they pretty much have plenty of wheels that fit our cars without a hitch (also include the necessary hardware like lugs, and centering rings so that the wheels fit right on the hub). Maybe the only thing that i would be concern about is the offset of the wheels which may make the wheel protrude out more or less when its on the car.
yes, basically when choose a set of wheels you need to make sure:
correct bolt pattern
you clear the brake calipers
you aren't too far out that you'll rubb (unless its enough to fix w/ a roll)
the speedometer isn't changed too much.
oh and that it looks good
