Smile changing wheels!

hi all you 8 lovers, just a quick question , iv noticed alot owners change the wheels on there cars, which i must say when iv been looking at the photos on this site iv been more than impressed with the changes the owners have made, but i wounderd when changing wheels for another make of wheel and maybe a lighter weight of wheel has anybody had a problems!!.

No problems here, as long as you know the bolt pattern and have centering rings for some aftermarket wheels. If you use a site like tirerack, they pretty much have plenty of wheels that fit our cars without a hitch (also include the necessary hardware like lugs, and centering rings so that the wheels fit right on the hub). Maybe the only thing that i would be concern about is the offset of the wheels which may make the wheel protrude out more or less when its on the car.

Mine rubbed and I had to get the fenders rolled, but my offset is really aggressive. If you do your homework there should not be any problems.

u just gotta know your wheels. read up on tire sizes offsets etc and youll be fine.

yes, basically when choose a set of wheels you need to make sure:

correct bolt pattern
you clear the brake calipers
you aren't too far out that you'll rubb (unless its enough to fix w/ a roll)
the speedometer isn't changed too much.
oh and that it looks good

Also, some wheels aren't compatible with the TPMS.
