Changing speedometer between mph and km/h?

Does anybody know of a way to change the speedometer between mph and km/h?

Cheers, Magnus

I love doing that when I give people rides. It's fun to go 60mph and the person in the back yelling "You're going 120mph on this road?!?!?"

:D

If you don't like paper download the PDF from the Mazda owner's site. Then you can also do searches.

My JDM spec 8 doesn't have that button. Only one for the trip meters.

FYI, 100 km/h = 62 mph, though I get your point.

Nope, that's the dashboard light dimmer.

Look hard, I didn't know mine had it for a while, too. It's exactly the same kind of button that cycles the trip odometer from A to B, symmetrical down the tachometer.

I've always suspiciously suspected that some folks who are posting insanely high mileages on their 8s are pressing this to get their odo reading in klicks. But I'm a paranoid person by nature.

I had a KMH car in a MPH country. I always cut the number in half and added 10ish (100kph /2 +10 = 60mph-ish). Usually in the right ballpark.

It'll be cool if you have kilometers rather than mph because it seems like your going fast...lol

On an s2 it is the opposite, resetting the trip meter is on the left and changing mph and khm is on the right.

My RX8 was preowned and there was no manual with it. Found out the hard way that there was no spare tire either.
