Carfax hack
So, just discovered how to get free Carfax reports.
Go to a website that features used car listings - my favorite is Cars.com.
Find a car that has a "get a free Carfax report on this vehicle" (there are many).
Click to get that car's Carfax report. Bookmark the link. The last string of characters in the URL is the VIN of the car you're checking.
Then, when you want to run a carfax, just substitute in the VIN of the car you're checking and Voila - free report.
Stickin' to the man!

Well, maybe this is a "not so much" here ... it worked twice and now it's not working for me ... wonder if there's a limitation on it or something. Hmmm

lol.. you think it is that easy?..
the reason it worked for you those 2 times is because it just so happens that cars.com sponsors the carfax report for those 2 cars.. that means that the VIN you pasted into the url the second time around is already freely available elsewhere..
