Im not 100% on what this is, NEWB, but i believe what ever powers it is broke, as it will not full engage, it is making a clicking noise as if a record was rewinded as far as it can go

Looks like the flapper for hvac. Either fresh air vent or vent exit control (feet to face to defrost). Perhaps something fell into the ducting and got lodged.

You should be able to disconnect the little metal rod from the clear/plastic clip and feel it by hand. You should do it any way. You dont want to burn out the servo from constantly trying to close that valve. The clicking noise is most likely the gear skipping teeth.

Yeah if you're talking about that servo then i agree with the post above. Looks like its the motor/fan for the vents. Looks exactly like the one in my old accord. Umm, I'm not really sure what exact noise you are hearing or what part of the picture its coming from, but you could always try dropping that motor/fan and seeing if it is clogged with leaves and stuff if thats the kind of problem you are talking about.

It is for the fans, as it is behind my stereo and on the drivers side, what possible issue would this create?

it is the flap for HVAC

u said it's making clicking noise right? cuz from the pic it looks like it went over the limit.

u need to snap it out and make it right, it's actually pretty easy to tell it's original position. just unpin/click it , turn the thing on and off to watch the motor moves, then just reconnect to the way u think will open/close the flap.

for those who never seen this, that part is located behind the dash, just peek from underneath and u will see it.
