A/C problem ?

Ive noticed that if I turn my air conditioner on before my 8 is warmed up, the car makes a shreaking sound and hesitates for a moment. If I wait until the car is warmed up, it does not happen. Is this normal ?

No, not normal.
1) Bad or loose belt.
2) Potentially over-filled refrigerant or
3) a seizing A/C compressor

Sorry to jack your thread, but MazdaManiac, where do all these pics come from? Every time I see a post of yours, you have different ladies. Are you the one taking these pics?

Even more weird....my A/C will on its own change from hot to cold. The dial will be set to ice cold, and all of a sudden it is burning up in my car. So, I'll turn it to red hot and it gets ice cold. Like the setting is reversed, but then after a little bit it will go back to normal.

Well, the AC compressor cycles, so when it gets normal temp. its just doing that. It should get a cold blast, then cycle again. Kinda annoying, but exactly what is was built to do
