Im looking to buy my first car and i wanted to buy a rx8. I have been looking on craigslist and most of the rx8 i have seen are manual. I am looking to buy an automatic rx8. I saw a post on craigslist 2004 Mazda RX8 im not sure if this is worth it and how long does an automatic rx8 usually last ? thanks

If you are forcing yourself to buy an automatic then only buy a 2006+ rx8. The 2004 models had a 4 port engine and 4 speed automatic and are horrible. In 2006 and on they gave them 6 port engines and 6 speed transmissions and they are at least better.

 

Don't get an automatic unless 06+

Just learn how to drive manual, its a lot more fun

 

Lasts about as long as this thread topic on these forums.

 

If you want an automatic, then it's your choice. Driving a manual is fun and exciting. Learn how to drive a manual, it's easy, and i learned driving it in a few hours.
