I just bought my RX-8 yesterday. All I knew before seeing it, a 2004 black leather 6 speed GT. When I got there, it had the brown/black leather seats and no sunroof. It reminds me of the old classy European cars. Lets just say after seeing that, it didnt take long before signing the paperwork.

 

that means it is a shinka. or the person who had it before you got a custom interior

 

the two tone black/brown interior is really nice, but what would look good is a phantom blue 8 with black and matching blue two tone interior!

 

its not a shinka. Shinkas didnt even come out in 2004. At first I was thinking its probably the black/charparrel two tone seats. but he said it didnt come with a sunroof so it couldn't be a GT so its most likely a custom interior.

At first, I assumed it wasn't a GT because of the sunroof, but it has DSC and HID lights. Plus when I checked the VIN with Mazda, they said it was a GT as well. I thought that all GT's had sunroofs. Mazda claims it was optional on the GT. I found a car and driver report from '04 that says the sunroof was optional as well.

I was looking at an '04 BB with the black/brown interior. I thought it was just ok.
I really like the VR with red/black interior. I think that's a very classy combo, not ricer at all. Anyway, long story short, I finally found an '04 VR with that interior and ended up buying it. It's beautiful! No regrets here.
