brake calipers

just painted my brake calipers so ***** suposed to b red looks orange shud i paint em black

Brake calipers are my fetish on this car. Still waiting to find the right color before I do mine. You got any pictures of yours?

I think red is your best bet with black.

What kind of paint do you get for them anyways, a normal spray paint wouldn't withstand the heat I don't think...

I tried high heat spray paint and a caliper painting kit and did no like either products. Both looked good at first but months later it would peel and chip. So i bought OEM powder coated calipers from NHT. Spent a few bucks but well worth it.

Can you get any that say mazda or rx-8 on them like the brembo calipers do?

^There are decails that say. Mazda, MazdaSpeed, or RX-8 on them. Just search for them and you'll find them.

Invasion, did you use the Duplicolor, or the G2 kit? The G2 is an epoxy-type paint, that claims it wears well. Just wondering if that's a bogus claim.
