Blacking out my nordic green RX8... Suggestions on the look? Other ideas?
I think its time i change her look up a little bit. My 8 is Nordic Green, I wanted to do some apperence mods (Nothing to extreme) and im not really sure what to do that would make it look a little sexyer.
I was thinking of blacking it out as best as i can (even tho its nordic green lol). I was thinking painting the stock rims black, Blacking out the head and tail lights, Black side markers, I already have dark tints..... Im not really sure how it would look any suggestions? Anyone good with photoshop they could wip something up real quick so i can get a visual... Idk any suggestions or other ideas for a Nodic Green 8 would help, i cant find any pics on the web. Thanks

I think that since nordic green is already pretty dark, blacking out the car wouldn't look good... It would look like it is almost one color all across but not quite... Light color paint with dark accent type stuff is one thing, and obviously black on black is different too. But having such a dark shade of green then blacking out the rest IMO would make it look like it almost matches but not quite. I think for adding a lot of black to the car to look good, the black has to either sharply contrast a light color, or match an already black color... Although i guess there is a blacked out gray one on here that I like a lot... Maybe if I actually saw one I would change my mind, but what I am envisioning in my head for a blacked out nordic green doesn't look too good.
if your going to black a car out you need to go all out, spend a fair amount of money and do it right, other wise its not going to look right, paints that dont match will looks bad and tints that dont match all the other glass/plastics will look odd also.
my friends dad "blacked" out his 2009 bmw m5 and his 2008 aston martin. flat black on both cars with matching rims, and 5% tints all around with 30% on the windshields. i dont have a picture of them with me but if i ever take one i will post em up. me and my friend were crusing in their bentley continental gt coupe today and he told me his dad is thinking about blacking that out too.. i hope he does cause it will look sick!
as for my opinion on your doing it to the nordic green, i say no.. although some gloss white wheels might look really good.

Personally, I'd go with a body kit or some other exterior mod before murdering it out. I'm also the proud owner of a Nordic Green, and although it's a gorgeous color, I'll agree that it's difficult when trying to visualize what you'd like to do with it. Too much aluminum/chrome results in too much contrast and looks Pep-Boys terrible, while too many darker accents just get lost and help wash the whole car out. Not really a huge fan of the NGs with black wheels and smoked head/tail lights, but that's just me.
This might not be up your alley, but when I bought my car It had the 3M clear bra on it, which had started to look really cloudy due to age and direct sunlight. Figuring I'd get around to removing the clear bra with a heat gun later and possibly have the front bumper re-sprayed, I bought the Mazda OEM front mask on eBay for pretty cheap and just ran with it as a temporary solution. Surprisingly, I really liked the way it looked. Ordinarily I would have scoffed at the idea of putting a bra on a car but there was something about the way it looked on the Nordic Green that gave the front end an entirely new look. There isn't so much contrast that it jumps out, and not too little that it just bleeds into the green. It's quite well made, fits snug, and gives the car a slightly "racier" look by helping to accentuate the front end. Put it on any other color RX-8 and I probably wouldn't care for it too much. Anyway, just thought I'd throw it out there as an inexpensive and situational option.
