I remember that episode of pinks... lol
Anyway. If you have a pickup then u can get the s2k, if its your only car, youll get stuck too many times
say youre out with your girlfriend, and she decides she wants to go pick up her best friend so you can take them both back to your place and have a bubble bath.
if you got the s2k, you're SOL buddy.
or i can fit 4 wheels, 4 tires (mounted or dismounted, either way) plus a jack, cooler, girl, myself, helmet, sunglasses, tools, and still have my seat in the full back position. thats why s2ks compete in BSP and not AS i imagine.

Alright, thought I should chime in as I was browsing through this site to kill sometime at work. Interestingly this forum was not blocked like my lotustalk at my workplace. Some of the comments were just simply pathetic that I couldn't believe it was coming out of a Car Enthusiast's mouth, but rather a brand ******'. I'd just like to offer some of my opinions.
My first car was RX-8. Next was S2K. Now I've moved onto Elise. No regrets at all.
Look wise: S2K (Yes, beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, but I've never met a SINGLE person who commented that the S2K was uglier than RX-8)
Performance wise: S2K (Research yourself)
Reliability wise: S2K (If you're afraid to rev up to 9k in an S2000 thinking the engine will blow up, then it shows nothing but the fact that you're a weakling. The chance is, an RX-8's rotary will die before Honda's I4 under hard driving.)
Mileage wise: S2K (You aren't gonna say the rotary can get nearly as good a mileage are you? I realized that you have a thread dedicated to mileage, and it was nowhere near S2000's chart)
Practicality wise: RX-8 (Without a doubt, yes indeed)
Now we have bunch of subjective ratings here such as driver's feel. I've driven both and I would say both are equally fun, but in terms of handling response and connection with the car, I'd choose S2K. I've owned mine for nearly two years and I personally did not feel uncomfortable or so impractical. Of course comfort and practicality is nowhere near RX-8. Space wise, it did not bother me as S2K trunk can fit two golfbags without any issue. Inside? Yes it is indeed way more cramped than RX-8, but it is what the driver is looking for. A nicely designed cockpit with every button reachable with the tip of your finger. The Elise I own now is what I call the harsh ride, but since I have a DD, it's not an issue for me.
It was just quite sad seeing bunch of haters who have no clue about the other car talking smack about it (vtech is a phone by the way). The worst thing you can see in a particular car forum is that people start getting brainwashed and turning into brand ******. I myself as a previous RX-8 owner loved every bit of it, but I wouldn't go as far to start giving negative/false comments on other well-developed sportcars.

I decided on mine because i like rotaries , the car looks freakin wonderful and it has 2 seats in the rear if i ever need it. Also they are unique and dont see that many around which is a big plus to me. Beware the car is a chick magnet. I got 3hot college chicks at once , not sure if its the car but im sure it helped lol . Yeah i drove them to a hotel , id like to see the s2000 bring 3 girls in , cant even fit them in the car and what not . But s2000 imo is better if you want more power. Ive seen some crazy dyno numbers on some s2000's. Never seen an rx8 go further then 400whp. just my advice.
