Bad rattle and lose of power!

I've been having this problem that when I have been driving my car for a long period of time or when it is really hot I hear a rattle sound. It pretty much only happens at about 6000 rpm or higher and after that I feel a lose of power and the car starts to have a rough idel. None of my warning lights have come on in the car and if I let it sit for a long period of time it is fine. Has this happened to anyone else?

I see a new engine in your near future. Are you close to 80,000 miles by chance?

You need to read the "Marbles in a can" threads about the rattling noise. You also need to read your recall letter which should have been sent out to you by now. Just take you car to the dealership and explain the situation and all will be well.

I bet your car is an 04 and a AT. I had the same problem with my AT. I took it to the dealer and had the PCM recalibrated and it fixed the problem.

I've have this happen three times to me in my 05 6-speed. Happens if I downshift to pass and the RPM's get up around 6k.

I have a 04 AT with about 30k. It's doing the same thing. I brought it in for the recall. I got the full treatment done to it and it still does it. I have the motor-mount TSB parts on order, and I will let them hear it .
