How many of you have a baby (or babies) and use baby seats in the RX-8 rear seats? If so, with the under 1 yr/under 20lbs. babies do the baby seats fit in backwards?

My 9 month old has ridden in our backseat "forward facing" a couple of times for short distances. I have not yet attempted to place the seat "facing backwards". I'm really just waiting for him to reach 1 year so that the Mazda can be used "legally" while transporting him forward facing in the rear area, until then he will ride with Momma in the 4-Runner.

I had both my kids in the back with one car east and one booster seat, no problems . . . both were forward facing.
I am sure you could get a rear facing in the back seat but you would probably have to pull the front seat very far forward so it would fit

Have a 4 year old in a car seat...fits fine...sometimes I have to shift it to hook in the seatbelt...not a huge deal! Plenty of room....I move seat up a little so he has more leg/foot room!
