^Yo man, I see that you live in NC so i will be nice to you. But come on, That is one of the dumbest question's you could have asked... If you would search on google, or anywhere else, you will see the AT's 0-60 time is around 7.5-8 seconds. the MT can reach 60 in around 5.9-6.3 seconds. Obiviously the MT is a better/faster car. It has a higher redline, therefore can produce more horsepower.

Get the manual. Like everyone else, you will regret getting the auto. I just read a thread on someone who crashed their auto trying to keep up with a manual.

well... if you had to ask, get the auto. if you have to start a poll to decide, even if the majority is whatever... get the auto.
having an manual is not a fashion statement, its personal preference. don't let a poll or someone else help you decide. if it came down to that, my answer would be that you aren't ready for a manual.
when all you care is about connecting both the car and driver as one, there's no substitute for a manual. given that you'll use the enjoyment to outweigh all its flaws, not the other way around.

^^ lion: thats what i'm afraid of. i know they are, but i've brain-washed myself to not get a integra/civic because of where we are in so-cal. i've had my share of misfortunes with my luda. and all for nothing...
mazda seems to have a pretty lo-profile type cars compared to honda's, and plan to keep it that way =) not trying to go 4 da "cool" factor.
u know how i roll... u've seen my approach on how i mod the 8 =)

RX8 was made to be a manual.
Auto + Low Torque = Boring and slow.
Wish they would develop the damn dual clutch tranny for rx8 already!
