so for some reason out of the blue my ashtray lighs dont work. the lighter works fine and gets hot but the ring around it and the tray light wont light up. both were working yesterday.

i would think fuse but the ligheter part works.... I pulled the assembly out to check that it was plugged in and everything was fine. Both lights worked yesterday.

what could cause this?

 

bad bulbs maybe....

 

Ya... probably just the bulb.

 

try turning on your driving lights, that usually solves the problem

 

My lighter don't work and the red ring around it went out anybody could help me..?? Sorry didn't wanna cut thead... Lol but really I need help with this problem thanks

 

mine was just the bulb, unfortunetly there is no quick autozone replacement, or replacement from mazda, you have to get a whole new bezel ring from them

 

Is it really that important? Do you have it open all the time?
