A BN Mazda hood is about $400. You could have that one bodyworked and repainted for considerably less.

As an aside, I bought a spare hood for just in case a fat guy ever sat on mine. A local 8 owner replaced his with an aftermarket carbon-fiber hood, and sold me his stock hood for $50. It's not my color, but I will repaint it myself (experienced booth painter) and have it ready if and when the fat man comes.

I resemble that remark, are you saying I sat on Anthony's hood? Hell if I sat on it you'd have to total the car.

Depending on your excess, insurance sounds like the way to go.

Dentbusters, Dent Wizard, or some other paintless-dent-repair (PDF) place. They'll fix it—like new—in 20 minutes. No body work, no repainting. Prob $50 - $125, depending on where you live.

I wouldn't live with it. Either buy an aftermerket hood or get the dents pulled. Good luck

That dent is small enough so that they can do paintless dent repair on it pretty effectively. I wouldn't worry about it too much.

Go to the dealer and have their dent guy take it out!!!!!! Its like 20 bucks per dent dealer cost and none of those dents would mess up the paint when theyre popped out. Your dealer would prob do that for <200 if they give a **** about their customers! **** if you want to drive 8.5 hours, come see me

I've never met you, Phil- and HE said it, I was only being sympathetic.

Besides, after the holidays, I resemble that remark, myself. The treadmill's getting a workout these days.

Since it's dented, he could use it as a sled, if he lived where it snowed more than 3 flakes in winter...

The tiniest rock chip makes me lose sleep. I'll be headed for the anger clinic if/when I get my first dent.

10 months now, still completely dent and ding-free.
