Anyone heard of Lease figures/terms?
Anyone heard of Lease figures/terms?
I was looking at the G35 Coupe website and they had the purchase and lease price when you finished building your model. Has anyone heard yet from their dealers yet on this issue?
Thanks
Thanks
Okay . . . I'll bite. :D
I talked with the internet sales person about whether or not a lease will be available for the RX-8. I was informed that the dealership would indeed be leasing them. As for the details, he couldn't say. Mazda had not released any details, i.e., residual, percentage rates, etc. He was quite confident, based on the lease terms for the Mazda6, that it would be a competitive lease. He did reference the fact that Mazda's leases are very flexible (2,3,4 years and competitive percentage rates).
Although, my chain could have been yanked.
(By the way, this is my first post. It didn't hurt as bad as they said. :p )

Hi Dwdeboer,
Welcome to the forum. It sounds logical that the dealerships will have some sort of lease program similar to the Mazda6. I believe that all of the pre-orders are for buyers though.
Mazda will probably finalize the leasing terms a fwe months from now.

I was informed by the salesperson that a pre-order could be leased. I just emailed him to clarify if a pre-order could be leased or not. I'll let you know the answer when I get it. I put a deposit down based on the information that a lease was possible. I will be quite upset if the salesperson didn't know what he was talking about. Although, it wouldn't be the first time a salesperson was clueless.
You should be able to lease any preorder, because you don't finallize the paperwork or actually purchase the car until the vehicle gets to the dealership. By then the lease terms will be out.
Banks typically don't determine lease rates untill the car has been released. When the MP3 Protege came out, it took over a month before we had a lease available for it. Mazda will probably be the first bank to offer a lease on the Rx8, shortley thereafter the other banks, chase, amsouth, first virginia, citizens, etc., should release their lease rates. the car should lease out very well, as one of the major determining factors in a lease is how well it holds it's value. The money factors may be a little high at first, but the high residual should balance it out, and make it very competitive. As far as whether or not you can lease a pre-order rx8, of course you can, dealerships don't car how you pay for it; purchase, lease, cash, whatever as long as you and the dealer have agreed on the price.
