So I just bought a 2010 R3 yesterday (I pick it up Saturday). Very excited, but does anyone have any input on them? Curious to see how this years model compares to other years. Thanks in advance =)

 

Of all things, a "used" Aurora Blue R3 with about 4600 miles. This is our third RX8, but it has the non-engine related performance upgrades: Bilstein shocks, Recaro seats, urethane-filled cross member(?), special 19" wheels, and ummm...?

The ride is more firm than other models, I think it has a slightly lower profile (miniscule), and the Recaro seats will take some getting used to. Other than that...there aren't too many of these R3's in the States! You'll for sure have a rare performance vehicle

I have an 09 R3. Other than the seats in the R3 and the looks you won't notice much of a difference. Oh, and a more convenient place to check the oil level.

The upgrades or Series II engine should limit your trips to the dealership but only time will tell.

Yeah, the seats will take a bit getting use to but I think I'll deal! haha Picking it up tomorrow, so hopefully won;t be back at the dealership for a while!

Hey congrats on the R3. But the 2009 and 2010 Rx8s are in fact the same. Also the same are both year model R3s. He was just informing you.

The '10s no longer say "mazda" on the back of the trunk lid. I really wonder what brought that decision on. Seems kinda weird.

 

I can't compare to other years, but bought my first RX8 (Velocity Red 2010 Sport) in early February. Nothing but fun so far, no problems at all. Have taken it out for road trips every single weekend since we got it to find the best back roads we can. Have a few fav's already full of twists & curves between 15 & 35 mph.

I check the oil weekly. Added about 1-1/2 qts of oil in the first 3000 miles. Just had it in for its first oil change today at 3,250 miles. Maybe I'm dreaming, but swear it feels smoother & sounded better when I got behind the wheel afterwards.

Looking to put Black rims on it as my first enhancement.

I have put about 400 miles on it since Saturday, can't get enough of it, and just want to break her in so I can have some fun!!! Taking a ride up to Maine via back roads this weekend. Black rims would look kick *** on the red! I hear ya on the oil, I have been pre-warned by many to check it and check it often!
