i drive around now and instead of the car venting out hot air like it did before no the heater isn't on its venting cold air all the time even the the a/c is off and the fan isn't on.

 

You probably have it on air from outside mode (green light on bottom ac/heater console) and your temp **** on max cold. Change it to recirculate mode (amber/red light) to reuse air inside your car, or change your temp ****.
