i had it in several spots. just soak it in soapy water, then give it a little elbow grease and it comes off. it's nothing worth going back to the dealership for...unless your dealership is next door

I just zaino'ed my Rx-8 and also noticed the brown adhesive on a couple of places. It should come off with car wash and some rubbing. A fingernail may also do the trick.

You can also use Naptha (which can be purchased as Ronsonol or Zippo fluids in small, expensive quantities). Naptha is a very mild solvent that will do absolutely no harm to your finish. Another product that works but which is actually slightly more aggresive chemical is sold in the US as "Goo Gone". It's one of those weakened citrus degreasers which were originally designed to remove spray paint from lacquer finishs. All that aside, Naptha works great. I used it for years removing adhesives in photo-negative conservation, and I've used it on my car finishes time and again for getting rid of sticker glue.
