there are actually 4 threads that discuss experience and one that asks the exact same question as this thread. if you type in rx8strakes, choose title only, and search all forums you will get the same. i don't know how a thread that is a few months old is less relevant than one from this week but at this point i don't know that i'd change your mind.

and yes, if i took it as a personal attack when you quoted my thread and said that all people do is to say search, i guess i was somehow in the wrong. of course i didn't realize that my link was dead so if you had just said the link didn't work i could have given you the search criteria i just did. but you decided to use this as another platform as many others to to complain that people with higher post counts than yours only tell people to search.

 

Okay CT, enough about the search engine. This is a thread about rx8strakes.com after all.

My two sets of VR strakes didn't stand the test of time. Top side of each strake faded badly. My third set was back to the chrome from www.rotary13b1.com. They are of excellent quality and fitment.

 

it had nothing to do with the engine and everything to do with the user. if the OP had done a quick search they would have found the question asked, answered, and alternatives given. but if everyone needs their hand held:

hey ct I did do a seach b4 I posted. these post are like decades old (couple months for newest) and yea a lot of people change they minds after a week or two so I really did want some updated info. geez man throw me a freakin bone???

decades? how melodramatic when they're really only a few months and maybe a year old. i have a strong feeling you didn't search and see those posts or your question would have been different. i'm not saying not to post but how about a new question? i mean, no one has posted on here about burning oil or their car not starting in 'decades' but i would hope that if they came on here with that problem they would search out their problem and if it still isn't answered, maybe ask a new question within that post.

it's that issue that i have a problem with (and by the way, i'm not saying i have any issue with you and certainly didn't have one from the first reply i posted). it's the lack of really searching (or maybe put in a term or two and give up) and asking the something that has been asked before. now, i didn't flame when i came on here and actually tried to help by giving a link to threads that answered your question. it was the two of you that took that as an attack and made it something that it isn't and i have only come on here to clarify for you. of course that doesn't seem to come through so i'll just leave you two alone now so that you have more time to search other questions i'm sure you have.
