Any news on the 2005s?

Hey everyone. Maybe some of you remember me but I haven't been posting much for like a month. I'm still waiting for my 2005 RX-8. Good news is that I now have a solid part-time job and am on my way to saving money to get it for sure. Hopefully I will have a 2005 automatic Winning Blue RX-8 by Thanksgiving next year..

but does anyone have any info on it?
Any new features? Models? Price drop?

A year ought to give you enough time to learn how to drive a manual

Cool

Hey Blueoakleyz I'm in the same boat as you...I am trying to decide weather or not to buy a 2004 or 2005.... I won't be able to purchase one until at least march next year...due to an upcoming deployment...But so far I've heard nothing about the 2005 except were I read a thread were someone posted something about a supercharger....

Apparently he went to a mazda R&D garage and posted pics of some rx8's supposedly getting supercharger kits installed...If I can find it again I'll post it here...It's nice to know I'm not the only person on this forum who does not own an rx yet...But can't wait..Anyway let's hope some info comes out soon....

I seriously doubt you're going to find any significant changes from its debut year to the following year.

Expecting something major will ultimately result in a letdown. And I HOPE you aren't one of those that is hoping for something to happen to the horsepower or mileage, because it ain't happening.

Yep I sure could learn manual in a year, or even a day.... but I'm still going to get an automatic.

and no I'm not one of those hoping for something with horsepower or mileage... I just want the car for looks and smoothness etc... Not like I'm a super hotrodder or anythingm 200 HP is fine with me.

Anyway I'm pretty sure in the 2005 most of the bugs will be worked out so that's fine with me as far as changes. I don't want a 2seater or a convertible anyway..
maybe a pricedrop would be nice
